Study trip in Atami

The study trip was postponed due to the corona crisis, but it finally came true with the support of nationwide travel support. I went to Atami for three days and two nights with Masato Noguchi of the IT and Math Laboratory.
On the first day, board the JR Limited Express Safir Odoriko No. 1 from Shinagawa at 11:08 and arrive at Atami at 12:17. We had lunch at the soba restaurant “Izumihachi” in the shopping street in front of the station, and then walked to Sun Beach. At the inn, Heartpia Atami, we checked in at around 3:00 pm, entered the hot springs, and enjoyed dinner.
On the second day, it rained from the morning, so the research presentation scheduled after dinner was brought forward. On the way, we went to the station, had lunch at Atami Osakana Shokudo in the shopping district, visited the Atami Yamaguchi Museum of Art, and then walked to the beach to see Omiya no Matsu. After dinner, the research presentations resumed until after 23:00.
On the third day, we visited Izusan Shrine, bought dried fish and other souvenirs at the shopping street in front of the station, and left Atami at 13:33 on the JR Limited Express Odoriko No.8. It was a meaningful study trip with sightseeing in Atami and a lively research presentation.
